How to set Different Font Colors From Joomla Body 10 Years, 7 Months ago
Hi,
The current theme uses the Joomla\'s font color for user names,topic count etc.I want it to be different from the Joomla\'s theme.

I am using a dark background for joomla so using lighter font colors,but i want the forum to be easy to read so using a lighter theme and darker colors.

What should i change to set the colors i want for the items using the color from template_css.css -> body color:

Thanks :)

You can set different color for the classes of those text only.

Try modifying the css file to something like :

[code:1].bof-sectiontableentry1,
.bof-sectiontableentry2
{
color : whatever;
}[/code:1]

:)

Try this and let us know the results

I\'ve done what i want to do.I am not a css guru but i think that color:whatever is not enough as the style implement some other properties form joomla too.So what i did is added all font properties to the necessary parts of css file.The hard part is finding the parts i have to modify,thanks for Bugzilla :) i\'ve added all the font style not just the color,as either it won\'t work.(Don\'t modify the paddings)

So you can see the new style on

.bof-sectiontableentry1,
.bof-sectiontableentry2

These classes are specific to FB , It wont cause any conflict with Joomla!

To find the parts you have to edit I suggest using Microsoft Developers Toolbar for IE
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e59c3964-672d-4511-bb3e-2d5e1db91038&displaylang=en

or use Developer Toolbar for FireFox

These tools can help you find the classes and Ids for each css element on the page

I use it and it saves alot of time :)

Hope this help
