I am exactly in the same situation as you are, FoxE! There are 2-3 people who are giving advice now. Thanks to them. I will consider going back to FB if it gets better and native for J1.5. Until then we will see how it goes.

personally I\'m switching to phpbb3 with CB connector. No hacks needed and its a well supported and implimented solution.

I\'ve always been a bit surprised that one of the OS CMS\'s doesn\'t built a native bridge into their product. There is such a huge demand for the CMS/forum combo that it would give them a massive leg up on the competition.

Regardless I\'m moving on.

Aye currently using phpbb3 and jfusion. I donated to CB and was using their new 1.2 release for awhile but since the switch to phpbb3 I have dropped CB as phpbb3 does all that and then some for the most part. Took a look awhile back at the rokbridge for phpbb3 but jfusion doesn\'t require any mods installs as a component and a module and voila done. The upcoming features of a possible wrapped mode plus choosing which piece of software is the master concerning users seems like the way to go. Supports most major forum software for joomla can\'t beat that eh :).

Hello Everyone!

When do you think the stable FB 2.0 will be released?

My prediction is we\'ll be able to use FB 2.0 stable in about 2-3 months? Or am I wrong?

I am planning on creating a website and I need to know the approximate release time of FB 2.0 stable, so I can plan accordingly. One of the decisions I have to make is to choose one forum application for my other site.

Thank you for your suggestions!

Well, let me just pass by some talks here. If you have a personal view (and not constructive) please keep it for yourself and don\'t stir the community.

Anyway, the first draft of Fireboard 2 is delivered to the dev team and we will soon put it on SVN so other people can take a look too. People on the dev team (including the translators) should report the bugs or ideas to the \"inside best of joomla\" forum (and not public). The code is in working state. You are welcome to push it to limits. We have tested it against BOJ user database and board and it should \"fly\" for you too.

I will lock this thread as there are enough discussions (some very helpful) and interesting suggestions that we will use.

Cheers
