Is the new "native" version of 1.5 going to use JText and ini files instead of php?

So, as I haven't yet decided to install fireboard on the live site, your advice is to go with 1.04 and later upgrade, or better wait for a fresh new version install?
You should definitely upgrade to 1.0.5 when it will be ready.
There are too many fixed bugs and new useful features. Some of them:
default_ex template
SEO
split/merge function
fixed numerous bugs in bbcode, template

Sorry I misunderstood your position. Actually it's on you. It depends on features which are critical for you, your schedule, ... . Test it and if you are satisfied, you could start with 1.0.5.

Well .. I would try agora.. In fact its very Promising ...Not using 1.5 anyway. but the Agora Team is very quick in Responding to any questions about agora. Very soon It will be "THE" Joomla Forum.

I like agora, but didn't like its templates (any of them). None of them are 'glossy enough'.
can't 'attract' users......

Its like 'super model' without 'make-up' and with bad hair-day

I am trying PHPBB2.0 on my Lan setup
The Templates will get better.. right now Agora team is concentrating getting it to be very stable. and Fast. Believe me it's FAST!!! and they are pretty fast in getting it done. Even alot of features in there including Polls. Which some users are seem to be interested in that. I too want it to look "Cute" hehe. But I like my Forum being Bug Free. and the team seem to be doing that pretty well. Well it's just a suggestion. Hmm.. Like "Super Models"? I prefer Waking up next to my man Make-Up Free.. and still look good. Make up its just to Enhance Beauty, not to Hide what's Underneath. And Agora maybe lack of makeup to you.. But it's Beautiful!!!

Somebody is following the SVN...

BTW thanks for your final NEW indicator fix. Its in there as well.

If there are any other fixes that have been posted somewhere and I have missed them, pls let me know.

As I have not built releases before, I will be working on some automation around that. It will take me a couple days to rite some scripts to pull together a release candidate for 1.0.5. In the meantime I could use some feedback on the current SVN. I will start a separate thread on that topic.

Lol, no no, guess my poor english did that magic

I'm just thinking in what's better to keep a 'clean' database. I mean, if the changes in new version will be so big, I'm sure that will requiere uninstall of the FB I may have installed and reinstall... (not sure if FB keeps database), also seems some changes will be apply on database, so I will end with unused fields? my aim is to avoid that, for better comprenhension for future modding and so.

About schedule... right now my community still runs on our old IPB, so that's not an issue (big), I find load times and overall stability, usability and performance. I tried fb since first 1.0 release, and liked it overall (well bbcode editor not much ) , but the lack of updates from time to time, and the errors I could see in the forums for teorically 'out of the box' things, made me retricent to put it on the live site.

That's my main pont, if I install now 1.05 will update leave me with dead fields in database or changes that will not be used? if answer for this is yes, I can wait for new version (if is before september), if answer is no, I will be more than happy to install the 1.05 release

I seem to be too dumb to take advantage of SVNs otherwise would be happy to give my 2 cents.

Thanks for the answer Jerry

Actually there must be upgrade path from 1.0.x latest stable to 1.1/2.0, so it will be easy to create also cleanup script.

I suggest you not to spend to much time on user list, profiles and stuffs like that, because many of us use CB for that(or in my case I have custom developed components for those things). But we all need faster, bug free version with group control, working moderator options like move/split/merge, maybe polls...

With all due respect, this is a little bit crazy to suggest. Asking the developers to do this is asking them to only "sort of finish" FB2. If they were to actually do this would the community would only end up with a partial functioning forum again. Many users might utilize CB but, I would bet that far more people want to see an all inclusive, load and run forum.

Crewce, I am not trying to pick on you, just merely suggesting that we all stay patient now that the community is aware of some great development that is forthcoming.
