just an idea - check the collation of your database, the tables of fireboard, the coding of your language file (utf-8 or ansi/latin)

if there is a difference (e.g. your language file is ansi but the database is utf it can cause issues)

Re:[IMPORTANT] - chars encoding problem... 10 Years ago
collection was latin i made it utf-8_unicode & clicked go

Your SQL query has been executed successfully
SQL query:
ALTER DATABASE `xxxx` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci

now i tested arabic in forum & its still the same so what can i do next?

Re:[IMPORTANT] - chars encoding problem... 10 Years ago
i would test it with a fresh install - create a new database, make sure it\'s utf-8 (before installing) and install a fresh joomla

it\'s possible that it will work this way - i spent hours with migrating then i found out i could avoid all collation issues if i convert the new empty database to utf-8 first

just test it first - it was only a guess

if it\'s working this way you can alway copy your tables from 1 instance of joomla to another - make sure you backup everything of course
