The Rules ->

[quote][b]Signatures[/b]:
[li]Must be setup in your Profile (link up the top right, next to WAP) , and not manually added to your messages.[/li]
[li]May NOT contain any images.[/li]
[li]May not contain any pricing, sales, product etc. details.[/li]
[li]May not contain smilies or animated smiley.[/li]
[li]May include two clickable links. URL\'s or mailto: - [b]No duplicate links [/b][/li]
[li]Only exact URLs allowed ie not LOOK HERE - No tinyurls etc either, only exact, literal URLs[/li]
[li]May include two colors. Hyperlink color is set by the forum and is not counted as a color.[/li]
[li]Maximum font size cannot be larger than normal.[/li]
[li]Must be kept to a maximum of four lines (at 1024 resolution).[/li]
[li]May not contain links to other threads or posts for the purpose of self promotion[/li]
[li]Your signature is your signature. It is not for sale or rent.[/li]
[li]Any signature or avatar that is offensive or insulting to either us, our members, or our staff, are prohibited.[/li]
[li]We reserve the right to ask you to change and/or remove your signature or avatar at any time, for any reason.[/li][/quote]

My question is, with all them rules, whats the point in haveing signatures on this forum? eh eh eh... basicly you restricted people too only having \"hello\" and a url link as a sig... whats the point when 10000000\'s+ of people have unique personal sigs that identifies them in every forum that they post.!

At least change the rules to allow images, thus keeping the integratie of individual identification accross the web. :angry:

personally i hate images in signatures as it detracts from the content. in my humble opinion images in signatures makes a forum look messy

Re:Signatures... 10 Years, 2 Months ago
maybe, but a Signature is a Signature.

[quote]signature

• noun 1 a person’s name written in a distinctive way as a form of identification or authorization. 2 the action of signing something. 3 a distinctive product or characteristic by which someone or something can be identified.[/quote]

The moment you start placing \"that many\" restrictions, it is no longer a \"signature\", it becomes a \"Uniform\" text space for [i]restricted[/i] links.

Its like your bank saying \"no no you can\'t sign your card using flowing letters, you have to use square letters.\".. It just becomes \"not\" your personal Signature.

Signature must be simple and direct. There\'s some difference between sig and spam. ^_^

Re:Signatures... 10 Years, 2 Months ago
Exactly. BUT you shouldn\'t take away the \"image\" option.

If I wanted to spam using the sig, I still can ;)... which personally I wouldn\'t... those people should be delt with the same way the other 50,0000+ forum sites deal with them.

Is there an option to allow users to upload an image they wish to use in a signature.

Or if they add an image via the image BB code tag how do I get it to not resize if below a certain width or height?

Thanks

Hi there

i think i\'m having the same question as gwmbox do.

right now i\'m using the fireboard 1.0.3 version. and everything is working fine. the only problem i\'m having is the signatur.

if i paste an image (which is too width) by using bbcode [img]url[/img] ...it covers the users profile information.

so that\'s why i tried to edit the forum.css... i first added a new property to \"div.msgsignature\" ... width: 500px;

the view changed...but now it covers the right column....so my question is...

how do i set a default width and hight value for the [img] bbcode?

thank you so much for your help.
