Will I dont know how this is going to work, but im willing to donate as well, we\'d need to organise it

how much is everyone willing to donate, im willing 20 dollars, plus who will develop this, a fireboard team member or an outsider coder, if there is a fireboard coder who wants to take it on state the price and we will get the funds in ,as it seems like the interest is there, and alot of us will benefit from this feature

i think you would want to find a willing coder first. a fireboard team developer is optimal because then the whole community benefits.

Will the core team I read-read these forums regularly, so its down to one of them to step up or what ever, declare their willing to do it a x price then we can really get the drum rolling, if no core team members shows up after say a few days, il look for a outsider coder,I can start getting quotes.Anyway$ hopefully it could get it implemented into the core version .

This is good news at last though, that we might finnaly have the advanced features to make fireboard forums easier to manange, Im quite excited.

Ok Iv got a quote for 300 dollars done in 3-4 days, how does this sound to everyone, it would work in a similar way to SMF forums, let me know everyone

Is this from a current Fireboard developer or from someone separate?

If this work was done, would it be a modification (hack) or would it be put into Fireboard code for everyone to use?

If we all donate a few pounds/dollars/etc then will it be done on trust or will the developer want the money up front?

I\'m willing to donate something to the cause as I would love this functionality however I just want to make sure we are all agreeing on things :-)

Well no Fireboard developers got in contact in this post, Im still willing to let anyone of them handle this project, but if that cant be the case then an outside coder has stated that price.

Because its an outside coder it would be a modification everyone would be able to use it but it would require probably changing files for this reason, Hopefully this code could become a permanent feature in the offical release,I don\'t see why it wouldnt as it would be a great feature, its down to the offical team really, as they call the shots.

As far as I am concerned I am only interested in supporting this if it was something that would get rolled up into Fireboard. If another developer were doing this I feel it would then have to be done twice to integrate fully. The Fireboard (and previous Joomlaboard / Simpleboard) developers have done a fantastic job creating this product and totally for free giving huge amounts of their free time and energy, it\'s the least we can do to help them out with code that can be put straight back into Fireboard. This is what open source is all about as far as I am concerned.

This is just my 0.02 GBP, just clarifying my views.
