Very good news ! I hate SMF now after using it for several months. But I always was afraid to turn to a new forum since there are too many posts in the old forum.
If you can make a perfect converter to transfer posts from SMF to FireBoard, I will use it immediately !

Depending on what \"very soon\" means, I\'ll wait for the SMF converter. But there\'s a way for the impatient. Install Joomlaboard and use a SMF to Joomlaboard converter, which I remember reading about on the Joomla Forum. Then use the Joomlaboard to Fireboard converter and voila!

The method cferd describes will work. I successfully converted my board from SMF to Joomlaboard. Once I saw FB, I installed it right away and the JB converter pulled all my information from the JB forum correctly without error.
Let me know if you want the script to convert from SMF to JB. I still have the files.
