Just another request B) Would be great, if a user could delete his own postings. I missed this feature already in Joomlaboard.

Kind regards from Switzerland

Another good idea in addition to being able to delete your own posts would be to integrate a submit once mod into the forum so that users cannot accidently double post by clicking submit twice, like i sometimes have,

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/submitonce.htm

Ill try to mod the forum when i get home from work today to include this.

A version of this is already on the to-do list. Your request is a bit broader than the one of the to-do list. Maybe you could post a comment to the list.

Re:Delete own Postings 10 Years, 2 Months ago
started working on this project... now my java programming is a bit hazy since ive been out of highschool for a few years now lol, but could someone show me how to write an array (i think thats what i need to write), to onsubmit two items... since the onsubmit call is already used. my other idea was to change the name of the onsubmit(this) to what is called by the submit button in fb (i forget what it is, since im always here at work and cant view sources of my website do to lack of ftp) then add the on submit once call to the existing header.... ideas?

Edit:
Im pretty sure I have this working, but again I cannot test anything while at work... will post later tonite

Also I will create a new topic in the 1.0.1 forum as I think I have hijacked this thread long enough...

I want it possible for members to delete their threads. I have a thread that´s about sell and buy, and when they have bought the thing they where looking for they want to delete the Thread.

If some member start up a thread and later want to delete the whole thread, is it possible? Admin can detete all threads, but i want my members to choose if they want to delete their threads or not.

This was possible in e107 that i used before Joomla.

Don\'t think it\'s a good idea to let users delete hole threads. This is a typically moderator-task. And in a good forum threads are NEVER deleted, but closed and archived. It\'s ok, if members can close their threads ... but also this is normally assigned to moderators.
If you give your members advanced rights i guess you will have more work to handle your forum. ;)
Use moderators instead and choose people you trust or which have experience in moderating a forum.
