thanks turning off the cache worked!

But it wasnt a cache add on, it was the default cache in joomla from the global configuration, it\'s defaulted to off, ut I had turned it on.

I thought about forcing a cache refresh when posting from the bot but that would only fix half the problem. Any posts made directly on the forum would not be included in the cached page until another post came from the bot. This isn\'t a workable option and as I don\'t want to refresh the cache every page load, turning it off altogether is the better solution. Can pages (articles) that include the bot be excluded from the cache or is that too much work?

I have assumed here that refreshing the cache requires more overhead than simply loading the page. It seems like a safe assumption.

just downloaded 1.06 after I had successfully been running version 1.05d and just got this error message:

It haven\'t worked at joomla code for a long time so I don\'t know if I can remember the joomla functions and variables :P.
I have looked at the code and the first thing I thought was WTF xD.
